MEXICO CITY – U.S. Education Secretary Margaret Spellings is visiting math and computer classes in a Mexico City elementary school to share ideas with students, teachers and top education officials.

A troupe of folk-dancing first graders welcomed her Friday to their school in a working-class neighborhood as other kids waved U.S. and Mexican flags.

Spellings plans to discuss education policy with Mexican officials on Friday, and will meet later with Mexican teachers who have studied or received training in the U.S.
